SD 70 Pacific Rim picks SchoolBundle for Ease of Use

SchoolBundle is proud to announce that we have been chosen as the solution provider for School District 70 Pacific Rim as their Unified Communications Platform (UCP) – delivering their Mobile App, Voice, Websites, and Parent Portal.

Background

SD 70 Pacific Rim is located on Vancouver Island's central west coast and serves approximately 3800 learners in the communities of Port Alberni, Tofino, Ucluelet and Bamfield. The School District is situated on the traditional territories of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations and approximately one-third of all students registered are of aboriginal ancestry. There are eight elementary schools(Grades K-7), two secondary schools (Grades 8-12), one elementary-junior secondary school (Grades K-9), one alternate school (Eighth Avenue Learning Centre), and the CHOICES Distributed Learning program to support home-schooling families.

The Problem

The former websites for schools and the district were difficult to manage and as a result SD 70 Pacific Rim’s schools and specialty sites, such as international education, were not being updated regularly with accurate and timely information.

After seeing the platform directly, SD 70 Pacific Rim was sold on the SchoolBundle platform. The most critical aspect for them was how easy the SchoolBundle platform is to use. This ease of use would enable everyone in their district to create and update content whenever needed. SchoolBundle also brought a better experience for their parents and community, with a more user-friendly website and the extensive functionality of the Mobile App.
